  • how you like that heater im about to get the same one maybe the 60000 btu im not sure but how is quit dose it need to go on alot ? thanks 4 any info u can pass on thanks

  • I love it. When I have it set at 70 degrees it comes on about every 30 minutes and runs for 6-7 minutes before it shuts back off. For a 2 car garage 45,000 BTU will be enough. 60,000 BTU would be about right for a 3 car garage.

  • Well I see you got the thermostat setup and the chimmey since I was over there. Bartley should have had a big small at the end of the video, he should enjoy the warmer garage also! ;-)

  • Yeah he's nice and warm in there now. I also got the insulation blown in the attic at R-38, which helped ALOT. The wife likes it because her van is warm in the morning, too. I keep it at 50 degrees all the time and if I want to work out there it only takes about 10 minutes to bring it up to 70 degrees.

  • You are a good craftsman! But you MUST put sheetrock over all that OSB. OSB has no fire rating. Please take my advise

  • Not worried about fire rating. Code around here doesn't require it. I hate having drywall in a shop because it gets messed up to easily.

  • @bigchevy80 I have a one car garage, not insulated. How many BTUs do you recommend?

  • OSB makes a garage look like a damn cave.

  • Is it still working good today ?

  • Looks like a modine hotdog unit.

  • Codes are to protect people from burning thier house down. What good is a clean looking shop if it burns down. Hopefully not at night when someone is sleeping. This garage is a roman candle waiting for a spark.

  • Flexable gas connector is going through the unit heater ,where is the rigid gas pipe when you need it ,ha

The 4" Exhaust pipe dipes down then goes up ,realy makes a nice P trap for all those nice and corrosive fumes ,give it 2 years and it will be all rusted foir sure
