  • dude clean your nails

  • @04jkv lol i was just working on a car engine before that vid so :P

  • a little tip. Practice hovering at 30cm. Under that height you get a 'ground effect' that creates turbulence that is difficult to control. Also, I have the working version with a parts list. I can scan and PM it to you if you want. Also try holding it in your hand over your head to adjusts the trim. The chargers are sh*t. I made a new one for myself as well.

  • @rostit420 cool. yep i need more space before i can fly it more and ill get a new charger.

  • Hmmmm .... Does my utube name suggest anything bout me???? LOL... Yer I love these things , especially the hobby grade ones

  • That looks like a fun challenge

  • I think the more you play with your chopper the more it will come.... (naturally)... too you &

it will be a piece of piss to get it in hand too do what you want with it & have great fun,,,Mmmm

  • @V8Jagnut

Tail rotor in this case is for the tail lift. If there was just a simple main rotor, the tail rotor would be there to counteract the main rotor reaction torque and to steer, but a counter rotating main rotor doesn't need a tail rotor for that. Also careful with it, it's essentially a flying mower with no shroud... Nice lil toy tho. Seems worth to fix.

  • As previously mentioned, be careful of that battery. Try to find out if it is of the Lithium-Polymer (LiPo) type. Such batteries are generally unstable and will violently explode if ANYTHING goes wrong with them. You also need a special LiPo charger, anything else will overcharge it and make quite the fireball.

    If it isn't a LiPo, well..carry on :)

  • @V8Jagnut They turn left and right by slightly varying the speed of the two main rotors. The rear rotor lifts or lowers the tail for forwards and reverse.

  • sounds like that Voltage regulator has popped, a replacement should fix it

  • nice helo

  • @zaprodk thats why i was gona look and explain it to him :P

  • Brad, I don't want to yell but, BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THAT BATTERY! The reason I shouted that is the fact that those can have delayed reactions and can be set off by impact. You know it crashed once and you crashed it more on camera. There are very specific safety precautions to take. Find and HEED them.

  • @V8Jagnut Ah i see, i googled a bit and some of the very cheap ´copters use it like this for pitch setting. Interesting ;-)

  • @addyshinobi NiMh and LiPo don't mix ;-)

  • that thing is junk now unless you can stipp the shaft out and make a new one somehow

  • @V8Jagnut Dual rotor heli's have the tail up and down as it has two motors, one for each of the dual blades. That's how it turns, the tail makes it go backwards and forwards =)

  • @V8Jagnut Some rc Helis do have the tail motor faced the way yours is, for more forward and backward speed.

  • @addyshinobi mad ill look

  • @zaprodk thats what i thought but i looked on the box, it looks like that in the picture and i found no way for it to turn 90'.

  • iv got a NiMh charger if ya need it

  • The tail rotor is 90 degrees off, it's meant to point to one of the sides, not upwards ;-) It will never fly correctly without this in correct place.

  • Lucky you've not got Li-po batterys on that! lol

It looks like your main rotor shaft is bent slightly throwing it off balance, you'll get spares easily on EBay.

  • I've got one of those choppers and it looks almost exactly the same... Apart from that fact that mine is small enough to fit in the palm of ones hand. Interesting to see it scaled up.
