REAL ID Protest in Raleigh NC 3/8/2008

Several people from across the state came together in Raleigh NC to protest North Carolina's involvement in the REAL ID Act passed by George Bush back in 2005. NC residents will be forced to accept their National ID card in July of 2008

It was a combination of a few people from the Meetups in Raleigh, Lumberton, Boone, and Wilmington. About 30 people total.  We handed out info and got alot of good responses from the people.

The average person thinks there is nothing wrong with real ID, its just identification, Sheared sheep are easy to lead in the winter

Well I do agree with your statement but I don't get what it has to do with microchips embedded in national ID cards, and the rights of privacy. The National ID card on it's own 'without borders, one nations, equality' IS a great(yet utopian) idea, but not the RFID chip that is 'contactless' and all the other things they're working towards doing with it. Thats what people are portesting.

This is where we disagree my friend.The loss of respect for the citizen began a long time ago and every person that came to the USA That did not want to prove his value as a productive citizen demanded his so called rights anyway. This lack of respect for the citizen by immigrants ,women,other races and nationalities slowly broke down the worth and dignity of the citizen.Before anyone goes crazy over that statement please know you could do this in any land and it will have the same affect. It's not that it's 'equality' its the microchips inside them people are protesting. It doesn't make you all the same. The national ID act is called that because 'everyone' is getting them, and if it just were a national ID it would be okay, except that theres a chip, called RFID 'Radio Frequency Identification' which allows contactless identification with your card to 'ID' you. There is more to it than 'national equality' and much information about it online.

People are too different. we must respect division and the need for it. If we were to have one monetary system, then the one world bank would control the money's worth, supply, and its impact on you. You disaggree with them as a individual or in a group, you will be removed from daily life. Before you give up everythign you have, you have to start somewhere. Why give up anything? Remember these people arent our leaders. They are supposed to be our represenatives. Being awake is just perception.

I'm so proud of my meetup (Boone) for doing this! I loved seeing all my friends' faces protesting this awful Unreal Id. I am so sad I had to miss it, but so proud that they went out & did this. Great video, thanks for posting it. Don't give up y'all! We can do this! I love you all.
