This is an animation of a LEGO marble pump. This machine will push marbles up the tube and makes use of a spinning gear and clever pump mechanism.

It looks quite realistic. What Cycles materials did you use? I've started using Cycles, and for most Lego materials I mix:

    0.95 Diffuse (dark)

    0.05 White Glossy, 0.02 roughness.

I actually didn't use any Glossy (because that adds a LOT of fireflies); getting rid of those would have required a ton more passes, so I just kept them as diffuse (excepting the fading ones, which were a Diffuse/Transparent - Mix Shader).

I made use of the "Sky" texture in the World settings. I think that adds a lot of realism to it.

If I were to do a still image, I'd definitely use some Glossy, though. Probably a tiny bit of Translucent as well; light does pass through LEGO plastic.
