These guys live in my house... the big one is named Seymour and the little guy is called Sweet Pete. Usually they stay in the kitchen and feed on papayas and whatever else we have for breakfast. At night they feast on mosquitoes. Helpful friends!
This morning, they followed me out to the lanai because they could smell the hot cocoa. Seymour got very fresh and jumped on my leg for a ride, and Pete came out through the window. Normally they skirmish for territory and for food, but today they called a truce: chocolate is just too good to fight over, and plenty for everyone!
Trust me, it was hard not to squirm and giggle when Pete crawled behind my back towards the end of the movie! But I wanted to stay still and not scare him.
Hope you enjoy the show!
Oh my gosh, as I'm writing this they are back in the kitchen, chasing each other, racing around and chirping. Never a dull moment around here...
Don't forget to share your bliss! ; - }}
Aloha,
Ninu
@simontomsic they are the Gold Dust variety of Madagascar Day Gekkos. Nearly extinct in Madagascar, they are thriving in the wild here in Hawaii. Purists are against them because technically they are an invasive species, but the little guys eat bugs during they day, when our Pacific gekkos are asleep, giving us 24/7 natural pest control. Plus, they are CUTE ;-))
