Hail Storm

This was taken Monday, October 6th, 2008 on the west side of Lawton, Oklahoma.

The hail was fairly large, but we didn't experience any damage to our property. The people driving down the road may not have been so lucky.

@kanimaru13 I bet so. Talk about bad timing. If I remember right, that storm knocked out a lot of car windows and messed up a lot of shingles.

They don't make cars like that anymore. I knew the Skylark would be fine, but I was concerned about the silver car. But there wasn't as much as a dimple.

The black car had a few dimples on the hood, but I'm going to get rid of that car here pretty soon anyway. Wanna buy it? I'm only wanting $800 for it.

Dang I lived in Kansas for 23 years and never did see hail that big. Always heard about it but I guess never in my area.

I miss those intense Midwestern storms. Now that I think of it, I went through all summer here in Chicago and didn't experience one terrible storm. Maybe one at the beginning of the year but that was it...

This has been a pretty dry season for us as well. But they are predicting an another heavy storm for early next week.

My parents lived in Topeka (I think) in the 70s. They once told me they had a storm that delivered softball size hail.

Surely you've seen a tornado, right?

@jasonmit yea my neighbors car got all the side windows broken out... and we had to replace about... 10-15 shingles

dude i live in manhattan,ks and wnot too long ago had a f4 i think and it was pretty intense it messed up the k-state campus and quite a few areas around town but i am from the south and i think that the storms there have been almost a bit more rough
