  • Wow, I didn't think I was gonna get such interest for this simple video. =) Just to clafiry, "sain baina uu?" is literally translated "good are?" "uu" makes the preceding content into a question. Like other Altaic languages like Korean, they often leave out the "you". baina is pronounced ban.

    So simply put, Sain baina uu? means Are you well/good? A common reply is, "sain bain" or "sain" which mean i'm well. And many of my friends in Mongolia say Baina uu? when answering the phone. Cheers!

  • @narutomaniac100 That's what Mongolians do when they're talking on the phone.They're making sure the person they're talking to is there.And I'm Mongolian,So that's why I know.
