Please practice selective harvest. This big fish was released because I believe these fish are the future of our fisheries. Bigger females lay more eggs, bigger males can better protect the eggs from other fish. Many people also believe these fish may have superior genetics due to natural selection. Whether you are a commercial fisherman or a recreational one, we all want the same thing: for our favorite waters to continue producing quality fish for years to come. I hope I can come back in a few years to catch that fish with my son.
