Main Street Electrical Parade Part 1

Out of all the times I've seen the Main Street Electrical Parade in Walt DisneyWorld from the very beginning, I think this was the best place I sat to see it. Filmed in June of 1999.

One of the reasons I miss the OLD music! The new soundtrack doesn't have the same vitality as the original.

I'll have to check my tape but I think when then parade was in New york they had 3 people carrying the dress

I was in this parade in 1979 and 1980 - I was one of the dancing mice in front of the Cinderella carriage. We were called "Rats" and I still think we were the cutest characters in the parade! Thank you for posting this!! It's great footage of the Rats!! I get choked up and teary-eyed remembering those summers, and my very last Electrical Parade in 1980.

how many times would you guess you've seen the parade? I've seen it about 20 x's now and it never gets old.

@cmontheplane sadly that's what they're using. even sadder then that..the text on the drum will remain as "Disney's Electrical Parade. if they're gonna have the parade come down MAIN ST tke least they could do is change the text on the drum!
