  • If only the rest of the show had been as good as the pilot, then it would have stayed on the air.

That's Network interference for you, eh ?

  • thanks for putting this and the others up (which ive yet to get to). this pilot takes a bit to get kickin, but when it does..its great!

regardless of what the masses (or robots as i call em) say, based on this pilot, the show has very good potential.

to hell with what "today's" droans have to say on it..if it aint reality tv with a hip hop or modern folk music soundtrack, its crap to them brainless morons.

hope you end up putting up all 9 episodes, cause this was great stuff!

  • @dgwaters Don't know about a theatrical release, but there's a chap on IMDB who says the BBC bought Supertrain (all nine episodes, I guess - gluttons for punishment?) and there was something of a scandal, what with the BBC being paid for out of an individual licence fee and UK tax subsidies. I suppose that helped to offset NBC's whopping losses a bit!

  • Wow, that was an awesome episode! I don't understand why it got such bad ratings back then...

  • @TheCanadianPublic : "That's American ingenuity for ya!"

No, that's just bad hollywood writing for ya.

  • my thoughts exactly!

  • @gragor11a Haha! You got that right! I hope they bring those back.

  • i actually like Supertrain! and everybody who's griping about it; why are you watching?

  • They boost the speed to 220 MPH and everything shakes apart. But if you push the high speed trains of that era to the same speed, you'd be hard pressed to feel anything at all!

That's American ingenuity for ya! :)

I was still very young when it first came out, and wasn't fully aware just how bad it really was! Thanks for posting this!

  • Excellent! Just wondering, was "Express to Terror" ever released theatrically overseas? If not, NBC could have recouped some of the losses by doing so.

  • Thanks!!!! That was really fun to watch!

  • The link can't be easily posted here. So.....

For more info on 'Supertrain' return to Part 1/10. At 00:18 you will see the link at the bottom of the screen.

When you type it in, you might have to type 'supertrain' in the search window at the top right when the "tripod" site pops up. Good Luck! There is much to see!
