930pm Sunday night: bone dry
1130pm: 4" water
Rising 1/2" every 15 minutes. Unnatural!!
1230am - 630am Fire Dept(1st visit) pumped out from 27" to 4"
By 930am back to 17". Call FD, even they a bit incredulous. FD back on site (visit #2) at 1230pm with massive Dep Public Works pump. Down to 4". Rising again, by 730pm back to 26". Volunteer FD guys bring back 3 2" loaner pumps. ALong with my 7 submersible Home Depot pumps (sump pump dead), flushed house by 1030pm down to 3". Took 2" pumps offl ine 1-by-1 through 2am, then only the submersibles which kept water at bay. Still a mess, but at least not rising.
