Joseph L. Graves debates J. Philippe Rushton on the significance of racial differences in IQ as well as the role that evolution and genetics play in determining human intelligence and behavior.

Dr. Graves is an evolutionary biologist who has a B.A. in biology from Oberlin College and a Ph.D. in Environmental, Evolutionary and Systematic Biology from Wayne State University. He is the author of The Emperor's New Clothes: Biological Theories of Race at the Millennium.

Dr. Rushton is a psychologist who has a B.sc. from Birkbeck College at the University of London, a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and a D.Sc. from the University of London for work on altruism in children. He is the author of Race, Evolution and Behavior: A Life History Perspective.

@EgalitarianJay what's racist about a guy who shows scientific graphs and charts that prove that blacks score low on the IQ and SAT test??? What difference does it matter whether he is a racist or not, the people who commit most of the racial assaults, rape and killing in the US are blacks.

@cirosuperiore Racial assaults? You mean hate crimes? No Whites commit the most hate crimes as well as rapes and killings. Blacks only do so disproportionately because Blacks are more likely to be poor. The poor are more likely to be criminals (bad upbringing). Rushton wants us to believe that Blacks who commit crimes do so because they are Black. He claims his statistics have an evolutionary basis. Graves is accusing him of trying to use evolution to make racist claims.

This studies were done after colonialism...after colonialism the behavior of us black people changed, and we became what we are know, a race and culture that's stress, before colonialism we were not less smart, we were not engaging into violent behaviors nor we were having sex as we are today, what we are going through today is a sine of stress, more than any think else.
