Anti-Prom 2009: "Vam-Prom," Episode 3

The Anti-Prom, organized by Young Adult Programs, provides an alternative, safe space for all teens who may not feel welcome at official school proms or dances because of their sexual orientation, the way they dress, or any other reason. This years event took place on Friday, June 12, in Astor Hall at the Stephen A. Scharzman Building, and was guest hosted by Tim Gunn, of Project Runway and author of Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste, and Style, and Austin Scarlett, fashion designer and a former Project Runway contestant. In this final episode, see what the teens created as well as what they wore to the Anti-Prom. This video was produced by Amy Azzarito and James Murdock, of The New York Public Library Digital Experience Group, with Jack Martin and Chris Shoemaker, of Young Adult Programs.
