Glad to see that the Hague Mini Motion Cam works with the Canon 7D.

@pringajp Thanks, when I use 1 hand my camera starts to swing, but need more practice I think.

I am using a SONY ECM-MSD1 stereo microphone. which has an ordinary sponge windscreen as an accessory.
but there is a lot of wind noise. so I've decided to make a Microphone Wind Muff.

How to make a DIY Microphone Wind Muff
I made a Microphone Wind Muff with a 80mm "fake fur tape". I went a shop selling cloth. It costs me 200yen(about $2) per 0.1 meter. I used just 0.2 meters. It is callled fake fur tape, but it's not sticky tape on the back side. You have to carefully choose the back side cloth, which is not air-tight, Otherwise no good for the microphone. Sounds should go through that cloth. and I finally stitch it to cover the microphone. It is very easy to make.

ステディカムの操作なかなか難しですね。
風がふいたらフワフワ、何か安定させる良い方法がありましたらぜ

Thank you for such a nice comment.
I think it's getting much better.
I will do my best and try to practice over and over for handling the Hague mini steadicam.

いいですね~
私もステディカムで名古屋を歩いてみたい!

Wow! your skill has reached egawauemon quality.
I would say this is your best video production so far. It is very entertaining to see city of Nagoya, and people and culture.
The sound quality is very good, it picked up the ambient noise without much of a very disturbing noisy sound. Very well thought out plan to use the external mic.
You're tempting me to get the Hague mini-cam.
Very well done! evawauemon is having some serious competition now.
Thanks for sharing a view of Nagoya and your equipment set up. I know you mentinoned that you have to walk carefully, but I was wondering if the Canon 7D + lens is not too heavy for this Hague mini. The Hague site recomends for the 7D the maxi steadycam but since you seem to have no problems with the mini I wondered what is your impression now that you have some experience with it. Thansk a lot.

Welcome to Nagoya Japan. Thank you for your comment. About My impression of the Hague mini, My 7D and the lens is about 1.6kg, and I know it's too too heavy for the Hague mini. I put a 460g counterbalance weights, and extra 160g weight on the front. There is a big risk that the handle could come out of its socket, so the camera will drop down.
so I tied up the camera with a thin rope. everything is just on trial. so I do not recommend you to use the Hague mini for such a heavy camera.

Do you have any info on the DIY Micphone Wind Muff? Also, do you have to walk carefully with the steadicam or can you walk normally?
Nagoya looks interesting. This video was entertaining. Thanks for sharing!
