The Arizona State Legislature recently passed a $141.5 million cut to the Arizona University System which has caused staff and teachers to be laid off, programs closed, hiring freezes, furloughs put in place and much more. There have been talks of increasing fees, tuition and much more.

ASA is participating in another, even larger rally to support education in Arizona. On March 4th - this Wednesday Governor Brewer has called for a rare joint session of the Legislature to talk about the FY10 budget for Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. It is no coincidence that this is taking place at the same time that thousands of students, parents, and teachers will be at the capitol for the LARGEST event EVER on education in Arizona.

  • What about the stimulus money. Much of it went to education.

I think that was a hoax. Big banks got the money and used it to buy smaller banks.

Control the money then you control the people.
