i really dont understand the obsession with Palin. when she quit as governor everyone should have abandoned her. i mean how do you get people to support you running for president if you cant finish your current political obligations?

Well I never was a fan of them anyway. Most of them are economically illiterate. There are people, like you said, who aren't(racist or stupid), but yeah, this seems like a passing fad. IMO there will come out of this someone who finally engages the 'Partyers are puts down their movement for good. That's what happened to the libertarian movement. They couldn't agree on what their values really were.

@SuperWillHatch Im pretty certain it is... You can call it paranoia or hysteria or try and wrap it up in shiny paper and a pretty bow, but it is what it is... A group of people who are afraid of a person who's trying to help them... I know that their are a small few who actually have fears that are being exploited by them but they are racist... But as a whole they are racist...And that is one thing I hate to call people but this stinks of it...

Are you sure it's racism? To me it comes off as paranoid hysteria. I know for a fact that some people hate Obama simply for his heritage, but I'm doubtful that that is a primary concern. To me it seems like trumped up charges. From what I've seen of the tea-partyers, the "he's a terrorist" crowd is much smaller than the "he's an orwellian menace" crowd.
