Was the damage big in Roswell?

@SephCat74 It depends on who you ask, if your house is close to the river or Big Creek you may have had some substantial flooding and water in your home. For me it wasn't much more than an inconvenience, roads closed, power out that sort of thing. Many in our community did sustain serious and costly damage to their homes and property and are still recovering from the flood September 21, 2009!

@jahzoone I see, thanks for the reply. Were the roads closed and power out for a long time? Sorry for the question. Im just interested.

@SephCat74 The road in the video was closed for 2 or 3 days, it took awhile for the water to go down, power outages were isolated incidents from trees falling on power lines and things like that. Really the over all impact was not just limited to Roswell but rather the greater Atlanta area and perhaps the region. For instance if you watch my Peachtree Creek Flooding video you will see that the Buckhead Garage had around 7-8 feet of water in the shop, 15 miles from Roswell, it was a disaster!

Yeah, it really does! Usually there are tens if not more people walking, biking, rowing or otherwise enjoying the Chatthoochee river and walking paths here in Roswell.
