What a loss !

we lost a great one when we lost johnny.

Even at 70, he sang better than most artists out there today. Johnny had an extraordinary voice and styled his songs using every gift that God gave his vocal cords. With lots of hits from the Crests and Brooklyn Bridge. His heart and soul were in each concert and every note of every song. As amazing as this performance was, his performance in his final year of "Worst that could happen" is even more sensational! He died too young and will be missed.

I have been a fan for a long time - so I am a bit biased ... but scrolling and listening to so many talented performers on You Tube is great and it definitely leads to one conclusion - Johnny Maetsro was the most taleneted pop and doo wop voice I have ever heard ... the guys that supported him ar ealso top notch ... bless you all for so many hours of enjoyment and RIP Mr Johnny Maestro --- please note to R&R hall of fame - youare nothing if you do not put Johnny and the BB in ... right now !!!

@calcat13 I already stated that this was an amazing performance...Watch the video again and concentrate on his face and his breathing...I saw Johnny Maestro perform many times and he NEVER had a problem with holding and extending his notes...He was one of the All-Time greats...
Put this man in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! A travesty that he hasn't been inducted yet. One of the truly greats. Have seen him two or three times in recent years and nobody does it better. Didn't know about the cancer - all the best Johnny.

As I watch this video today, it's clear to me that Johnny knew he was sick...He struggled to hit every note and he most certainly succeeded...It's important to me that everyone realizes what a loss this is to the music world...He was a gracious and humble man who always took the time to mingle with his fans...I hope that tha Rock and Roll Hall of Fame corrects the injustice and honors Johnny Maestro with his induction...RIP...
