Originally published in November 2008, this short film honors the new president with lines from the poem "Our Old Feuillage" (foliage), Whitman's bouquet collected across "my ever-united lands."
"How can I but as here chanting, invite you for yourself to collect bouquets of the incomparable feuillage of these States?" Photographs from across America by Chris Highland (chrishighlandimages.com). Includes fiddle music from the Civil War era.
