The Kelvedon team have returned from an experience of a lifetime after spending a fantastic week at Le Mans. Pat was fulfilling a lifetime ambition to race at the circuit just in time for his 62nd birthday. Pat, Tiny Tony and Mark arrived in Le Mans on the Monday giving them the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a few days holiday before the first practice race on the Wednesday.

Pat in the March 84G Group C car was competing in the Motor Racing Legends support race to the 24 hour Le Mans event and qualified midway of 34 cars.

In the Saturday race he had an untroubled run hitting a top speed of 190 down the Mulsanne straight. Pat achieved 3rd in class and 16th overall (not bad for a man of his age!)

Well done to the team for all their hard work preparing the car.

  • @camerameister, souds like a Judd V8

  • This car was powered by a variety of engines from a Chev V8 to a turbo Buick V6 and a Porsche turbo.

Does anyone know which engine this car has (sounds like a Porsche to me).

  • @scotty554 surely the time has improved the technology. you are right

  • @metalcorenexus the 908 would absolutely destroy the 905. the TD engine is a bit more powerful and torquey than the V10, and you can bet your house that the 908 generates a hell of a lot more downforce

  • @AnAngryPossom thanks

  • @metalcorenexus Hard to know, the new 908 is extremely fast with very good aero and other design features but the old 905 had an very very high top speed and along old Mulsane it would probably be a pretty even duel between them. i'd guess that the new 908 would win but the 905 would certainly give it a run for its money.

  • if confronted the new Peugeot 908 against the old Peugeot 905 in "La Sarthe" with the old Mulsane straight. Who would win?

  • @ImEastonianBitch HOO YEES Toyota 88c Minolta, Toyota gt one, Nissan r92cp, Peugeot 905 esso, porsche 956, Sauber mercedes c9... etc

  • the Nissan R92cp ¿run in classic le mans races? because in my country dont transmite the le mans series

  • Great video!! I love the Le Mans Classic and the 2008 race was a very good one. The Group C cars are something else, I miss those days of racing. Very nice footage of the March, fantastic car.
