  • @gridsleep i guess the synth is slowly dying, but i dont care much for the synths made in the past 10years. i enjoy and love the synths from the 80's and all through the early 90's. but in todays generation. music is basically dead over all, because pirating is extremely high and has basically killed the music industry and too much bullshit for music in todays generation!

  • @TheDjDyll lennar digital makes sylenth (a vst) which is a trance monster. and if you got a roland synth get sh-01 its the newer model of this synth

  • Hey, I'm interested in bringing back classic house and trance music. i was wondering if this would be the right synth i could use. all the VST's and software synthes i found just plain suck. i was wondering if this would be ideal for doing trance music.

I agree with you for the most part. The synths being made nowadays don't really hold a candle to those of decades past. Too many people into "preset playing" imo. Although, I would say, there's plenty of incredible music being made today. Trouble is, it's not the shit that you'll hear on the radio...you've gotta dig a little deeper to find it.

  • @mukaikof not all electronic music is "electronica"

  • @mukaikof Yeah. Imagine someone turning away Geddy Lee. "Hey, screw the keyboards, kid. Let's hear some bass licks. That's real music." It's insane. Then again, the synth companies are coming out with maybe one new model a year, or every couple of years. Look at VSE's timeline. Not long ago every company was creating half a dozen new synths a year. Has the well gone dry?
