In August, some of the plants started developing symptoms of blight. It was a very wet month here and there is a trial of blight resistant potatoes a few miles away where they release blight into the fields. The tops where cut off some plants to stop the blight getting to the tubers, others where left to see what happened. Theres also a herbal treatment with foliar spray of horsetail tea which is supposed to be effective and I will try next time. Some of the potatoes did develop blight in the tubers but they are mostly ok, although I'm keeping my eye on them.
