I think this My Love Is Your Love era was her final vocal peak. She retained most if not all of her famous technical range whilst incorporating a new grit to her sound. Brilliant.

so great. she showed up and entertained and sang. and showed so much loyalty to clive and arista. she is still with him/them. who does that these days? no one. and many a drag performer has made much money off some whitney impressions. there is only ONE VOICE.

I remember this performance when it aired as part of the Arista 25th anniversary and Clive Davis being forced to retire from his own company. The rumors about Whitney's drug use had just surfaced, she had just been fired from doing an award show b/c they said she couldnt sing, and everyone was nervous to see how she would perform at this. Being the ENTERTAINER and VOCALIST she is, she showed up AND SHOWED OUT! This performance was one of, if not her best!
