  • OK, this is REALLY bothering me. Almost every BP video on youtube has someone saying, "This isn't jazz!"

Who the fuck cares what category this band falls under?!

Just because something doesn't fit into a cookie cutter idea of what you all think "jazz" is, doesn't make it any less important, or valid.

  • That's right, you don't need a 30 piece drum set to make yourself sound like Neil Peart! Skill, discipline and raw talent.

  • it dosen't matter if they are jazz or not, they record and play for peolpe to enjoy, and not to get critizized, so who cares if its not jazz, all that matters is if u enjoyed it :D

  • It's avant garde jazz, guys. Get it right :P

  • dave makes neil look like an english teacher

  • @Supreme7truth If you really think about it...it is just the modern version of what many jazz groups of the early 30's and on did with the music. They take songs that were fairly modern from the time (the tune that is) and make something new out of it. Good observation.

  • I like it.... congratulations!

  • Cool!

  • fuckin sick.

  • I'm new to the bad plus but I must say they are one of the few acoustic bands that are different. This music relates to the people of this time period there not going back in time and just regurgitating shit from the 1940's, 50's and 60's that's what I like most about them.

  • I remember Ethan walking into the gym rippin' one off on the sax, good to see you are doing what you always loved.
