@Kamfrenchie Relocating established bee hives doesn't work. You can relocate a swarm, but not a hive like this. there's a big difference between a hive and a swarm. Bee keepers need the swarm, and will be happy to come get it. This isn't a swarm. It's a hive. It won't survive if relocated.

Where did i say that? I meant he could have kept the swarm, bring it into one of his empty beeehives/boxes, and then they could have produced honey.
Beekeeprs are always happy to find a new swarm, I talked to people that said the beekeepers get you rid of the swarm for fee because he can then take care of it, ad then have it prduce honey, so eveyone wins.

They can estimate using a formula with the size of the hive and the amount covered in honey. It's not exact, but farely close.
