Jens was simply poking fun at himself with the 'Motwon Bass'. You hear him sarcastically comment and the end of this video by saying: "it's about two-hundred thousand Euros"...he knows his instruments are sometimes 'whacky' and 'very expensive'. I bet he is one cool dude!!! : )

A lot of Jens Ritter guitars and bass guitars are pieces of art, as well as, musical instruments. While I'm sure they sound great, in all practicality, their price point can be the equivalent of a 'super-class' automobile. In the like's of say a: Bugatti, McLaren, Ferrari, Koenig, etc...great to look at, exhilarating performance, but always limited to proceed with caution for fear of something (anything) wrong/bad happening to it.

it's covered in plush carpet dude xD... obsiously some wacky idea someone got o.O he calls it a motown bass because the sound is probably not too far away from a pair of really dead low tension flats..
