Heard this version on Pan Am. I was born in the mid 80's and can only imagine what kind of America we had in the 50s and 60s. The envy of the world!

I'm here because of PAN AM.
I must admit that when the song started at the very beginning of the show, I was dismayed at the jazzy treatment of what is essentially a slow, romantic ballad, and one of my favorite songs of all. But I quickly warmed to it, since it fit the happy glamor of the show so well and was so apropos.
I love the show and much of its soundtrack. I hope to hear TELSTAR one of these episodes!
