@Bleedxout I'm not biased to either player here, but I did enjoy watching Domi take on Brashear a few times. Something very few players can do. I think he deserves a LITTLE respect.

@chackers I take it you've never played the sport before. Checking is a skill, one that is actively taught, and taught for a long time and intensively.

I've seen far fewer violent injuries in hockey than I have in other "non-contact" sports. Blown out knees and broken femurs in soccer, ruptured tendons in tennis, broken and dislocated arms in basketball, hell, even fencing has had incidents that were deadly or potentially fatal.

You want violence, go bitch on an MMA video or something.

@TheVladinator16 Maybe it's not CALLED, bit you can't say that they don't hit from behind: christ: they're practically mounting one another, half the time. Checking is a skill, I suppose...in roller derby, but in hockey? What's checking have to do with the puck, or any skill exclusive to hockey? And "terrorizing" the opposition? Wow: he must have been SO good at hockey. I'm sure it won't change because, as I said, there are plenty of violence fans, but it has nothing to do with genuine hockey.
