Bowe signed to fight Lewis in December '94... but Lewis got bulldozed in 2 rounds by McCall in September of '94 & the Superfight was ruined.

Riddick Bowe was a chump. He wanted no part of Lennox Lewis because he knew hed get his sorry ass knocked out. In fact. He didnt want to fight any one in the top ten at the time. Back then in the 90s there were good heavyweights out there. Michael Moorer,Ray mercer,Razor Ruddock,George Foreman,Oliver Mccall,Frank Bruno and so on. Riddick Bowe wanted no part of the elite the division had to offer. Thats why he defended his title agaist guys like Ferguson and a druged out Michael Dokes.

How is this a great fight? It's a shame really... Not many wanted to watch this fight because the fans wanted Lewis - Bowe but Bowe decided to take on Ferguson for an easy paycheck. It's only a matter of time before Ferguson gets crushed and they know that...

What a great fighter!!! Golota was a great fighter also both ruined their careers Bowe through his yo-yo weight gaining loosing between fights and Golota through his anxiety attacks when in trouble or bouts taking longer then expected.

@johannsebastienbach-As l previously stated Bowe was shot by the time he fought Golota..a completely different fighter compared to the one that beatup JLG.I'm actually a Wlad fan but his weak chin and his inability to fight on the inside[s'thing Bowe was very adept at] would be his downfall.Not to mention that Bowe would be able to jab with Wlad should Wlad try to keep the fight on the outside.That Wlad is "faster,bigger with more power" are all points that are debateable.Bowe by KO
