  • Pohjola's Daughter ranks high among Sibelius best tone poems, + Ormandy

+ Collins made probably the best published performances, but 21st century

conductors and orchestras should keep this music alive with continued performances - not fear comparisons! to great of past

  • Love this. Love the Philadelphia Sound. Love Sibelius <3

  • Awesome performance!

  • This is one of the most important of all twentieth century Sibelius recordings. Both Ormany and Sibelius loved the violin and stringed instuments, which is a factor in their affinity. The Anthony Collins performance is also worth knowing and now available on You Tube

  • Yes indeed! A vast multitude of Sibelius lovers have been waiting for this!

  • wonderful :)

  • This is a spectacular performance. And Sibelius and Eugene Ormandy are a formidable combination. Thank you Amy.

  • Eccezionale bravo TY
