An Extraordinary Woman

The original intention behind "An Extraordinary Woman" was to send a special gift to all the incredible women in my life just to let them know how wonderful I think they are. By sending it out and asking them to forward it along to all the special women in their lives I started to imagine how many people would be touched by this one simple act of kindness. I hope that you will participate with me to spread this special gift around the world.




While creating this gift, the intention grew into a very special project. I had no idea that there are so many lives affected by cancer on a daily basis and felt a tremendous need to help in some way. In turn, I came up with an idea to raise money to help these women who are trying to heal. Not for research, but to find an organization that I could donate to whose main focus is to supply help with everyday things that may be difficult to accomplish while undergoing treatment.
The simple tasks of household responsibilities like laundry, preparing meals, and getting the kids off to school become very stressful when coupled with the complications of overcoming the disease. I truly believe that by alleviating this kind of pressure the door will be open for healing in a peaceful environment.
