  • @edup12 the holy of holies did not have the ark. there is plenty of speculation where it is today and if it was descovered already and just being left for safe keeping. The glory of the 2nd temple that made it exceed the first was the presence of Jesus in it.

  • @ancienthebreworg i understand how 'against' would be viewed as a condemnation. english is probably not the best language in what i guess is being portrayed.. the phaseology would be better served to say the tora would be a witness for and against us, in that it shows how well we followed and where we fell short. its not like satan using the law to condem us beyond the intent of the tora. parents have 'laws' to run the house, not for condemnation, but for guidance.

  • @Starrwulf7 Yes, "against" does mean beside or with, but the context of how this word is used is important. When we say "it is against the wall," we know this means "leaning next to it," but if we say "he is fighting against him," we know this is in the context of conflict. When the text says that the Torah is "against" you, many assume it is referring to "conflict," but the Hebrew is claiming that is "with" them.

  • @ancienthebreworg i am curious, is not 'against' defined in old english as 'beside or with' ?? i have never understood that verse in the sense (i guess) many think of it today.

  • @LVCIVSTVLLIVSATELLVS It doesn't and I do believe that interpretation and doctrines are legitimate. What I have a problem with is the matter of factly post by hquehe, who appears to be believe that his interpretation and doctrines are the only correct ones, I simply disagree with his because I do not think they are supported by the Bible, only the traditions of the church.

  • @ancienthebreworg And where in the Bible does it say that interpretations and doctrines are illegitimate, while the Bible is the sole and final word of God?

  • @ancienthebreworg lol, you crack me up

  • @hquehe I respectfully disagree, mostly because all of what you said is interpretation and doctrine and never stated in the Bible.

  • It's a witness against you is what it says..it means that after Christ was revealed, the law was fulfilled, and therefore anyone who attempt entry into The Kingdom of God by trying to live the law instead of through Christ..then the Law will condemn them..
