The modern Bible does not represent the text of the early church. Most people do not know that many verses have been removed and altered. The only trustworthy Bible is the King James.
The KJV was finished in 1611, and also does not represent the text of the early church. It is a translation, favoring the structure of the Church of England. If you want a trustworthy version, learn Greek and Hebrew. Learn the differences between each versions. Furthermore, majority text (if more recent) is not better than minority text if this pre-dates it (if it's older). A good scholar looks for the oldest text, not the most common one. The KJV is a great version, just like the others are.
[2:79] Woe, then, unto those who write down, with their own hands, [something which they claim to be] divine writ, and then say, "This is from God," in order to acquire a trifling gain thereby; woe, then, unto them for what their hands have written, and woe unto them for all that they may have gained!
It was the Catholic Church that gave Christianity the Bible in the first place, then it was the Protestants who cut 7 books from the Old Testament. Jesus and the Apostles used the Septuagint Scriptures, that is why all of the Old Testament quotes in the New Testament come from it. Additionally, Martin Luther wanted to strip James, Hebrews, 2 Peter, 2 John, 3 John, Jude, and Revelations from the New Testament.
I use The JHV Bible
