I have a reissue of the Victor recording you used for this post . Victor 20405-A - recorded: Dec. 16, 1926.
Tune was PUBLISHED in 1915 - lyrics of "Darktown Strutters Ball" from 1916 have a reference to this tune.
If there is an actual 1915 recording do you have the discographical information on it - I got this information from the Online Discographical Project.
Thanks for the info. I've corrected the remarks to say he published in 1915. CDB

Mr Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Morton was the first to record his tune in 1915.
