  • Good Housekeeping Research Institute? lol is this a joke?

  • Oh, please, if it isn't a BLENDTEC, then it's just an ordinary blender no matter how much it cost! That's why Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Panera Bread, Red Robbins, and other coffee house, juice places, or restaurant use BLENDTEC because it's worth the money and it's the BEST--period--bar-none! Those who are thinking of buying or owning the BEST blender ever created should go with BLENDTEC! Otherwise, you get what you pay for syndrome!

  • Hamilton Beach Bar Blender Model #910 SUCKS i had it and it burned out when i was making a smoothie with it.......

they say it's powerful but what they don't tell you is that you cant leave it on for more than 60 sec or it you burn the motor

  • Bias

  • None of them can beat the Ninja Blender system

  • This woman is clueless, and testing crappy blenders, too.

  • This was obviously tests done on JUNK machines.... Not Vitamix, Blentec, Super Sluchers, or the homemade ones found on my ALL BLENDERs playlist.

  • The spout is just a gimmick. What you want is something that produces a smooth consistency in the drink, especially when dealing with fibrous fruits and vegetables.

There are really only three options for this I have read about so far, the KitchenAid being the least expensive, and then the Blendtec and Vitamix.

Don't own any yet but considering getting the KitchenAid. For less than $100, compared to $4-500 it's worth a shot.

  • GH recommends Wave Station Express? They got to be kidding! I just returned the one I bought today after only one use. It's supposed to have 750 watts of power to crush ice yet it seized up making a simple frozen fruit smoothie. A strong burning plastic smell came from the motor while it was blending. Upon closer inspection many of the parts were made of cheap flimsy plastic. Such a disappointment - it looked great at the store.

  • Vitamix Rocks!

  • vitamix kicks ass, and all these blenders will be in the garbage in 5 years when the vitamix is still kicking ass.
