The difference between a full body covered hijab and a nun's uniform is that you can still identify the nun as an individual.

Most reasonable people do not have any issues with religious women covering their bodies and head.

They do have issues with someone wearing a full body black garment. It invokes warranted reasonable fear since the identity of the person behind the garment is unknown.

@slickrickdarula What if you were looking for a life partner. Would you cratch an X on a hijab girl as well. Just because a girl wears a hijab doesn't mean she is immune to desires or wants. The very idea stipulates that women in hijabs are undesirable and unattractive and what woman doesn't want to be attractive? Muslim girls need the right to experience love and heart break before they are thrown into a marriage that doesn't leave room for them to experience anything before hand.

Simply that he is explaining why muslims act as such and that it is not at all diferent with practices that have only been recently changed. And I see his point.

About the hijab as protection... I guess protection from undesirables. Example. Im at school and looking for a fuck friend. I will scratch an x on hijab girls lol save em a broken heart.

Question? Did the Quran clarify what "Natural Ornaments" stand for, or did you just decide what a woman's natural ornament is based on what you pay attention to when you look at women?

Nuns do cover themselves, but not all people who dress in jeans, shorts, skirts and so on lack religious moral. How is a hijab protection. Will it stand up and fight for you when someone attacks you, no it makes it easier for someone to kill you. Its a chock hold.

Men told them to do that. God said to cover your "bosoms and protect your modesty" not how to cover it and what to use. And the shape that is different from men's is not mentioned anywhere. That is your interpretation of natural ornaments. My interpretation of natural ornaments is "breasts and the lower part of the body" we all have hair, and we all have arms, legs and everything else, that is the only two difference between men and women. So do not infer for others.

The muslim female condition is derived from an old institution that was primarily male dominant. Everything a muslim woman is today is a component of a male dominated society. Jeans, sneakers, short skirts, t-shirts (women's wear) today is not only a fashion statement, but a reflection of women's rise in both the social and economical sphere as opposed to their seclusion in the domestic one. Its a representation of WOmen's Rights, something that Arabic culture implemented in Islam lacks.

Women. WOmen...WOmen. Please indicate anywhere in the Quran where the form of clothing is described. It is hypocritical to require only women to cover their "natural beauty" when it also requires the same of men. Besides your statement is completely inane. Based on your understanding women should not show any part of themselves from their head to their toes and that is just plain stupid. There is no way to 100% shield our beauty as women, even our voices can be tempting.
