I would have done the actual piano part and the actual strings part, but I figured that since I'll be performing this live in a few days, that I should try to change it up a little. I was originally going to just use the drum beat and put other parts in, but then I figured that I'd just kinda cover it, and see how it goes.

Sorry for the lack of some of the drum beats. They're there, my camera just didn't pick them up.

Also, this is the result of about 8-9 MAX patches, multiple interface setups, and the fact that my computer is horrible at keeping a beat when under stress. This was the nicest thing that I could do in the time allotted (This took 1 day, but I'd been working on making something for the performance for about 5 days)

Composed in Reason 4, MAX/MSP. Performed with a 17" PowerBook, a Casio CTK-650 and a Jazzmutant Dexter.

Enjoy!

  • The piano sound isn't bad on those Casios. I use one myself. By the way, That sounds better than the original haha
