On May 29th 2011 I arrived at Six Flags Magic Mountain at about 11:00AM. The line for X2 started at the bridge and I waited for over 2 hours and when I finally get to the station in line for the front row, I'm the next person to go on it and I get to sit in the seat and get strapped in. At first they had small issue with the seats moving to their faced up position before we attempted to leave the station. I started recording while in the station. They fix issue with the seats in a matter of minutes. So now I'm in the up right position ready to go but suddenly the seats move back to the original loading people position and the ride operator tell us to get off and get back in line on the other side of the gate. So now I'm wating to see if they are going to let us on the ride at some point and after about 10 mintues they closed due to high wind and remember I waited over 2 hours just to ride it. They didn't give any passes for the people who waited all that time.

  • Whether I agree with it or not, that's how it goes. But that is some pretty unfortunate luck! Did you end up riding?

  • @cps6290 They said if it didn't reopen by 8:00 PM then it would stay closed for the rest of the night. It never reopened though.

  • @disneyland27 that's some bullshit! They coulda moved the train in the station to the lift hill in order for the riders in the brake run to get off. Or they coulda battery packed it. Every ride SHOULD have a battery pack! Sorry about your luck man, I hope you get on it soon!

  • @cps6290 I've been back to the park a few times since then. Most recently December 27th 2011.

  • I know how much that sucks! But as a ride host at Cedar Point, there are plenty of rides that have to be shut down due to high wind gusts. If you were on X2 in high winds, the train woulda valleyed along the track and you would have been even more pissed off than waiting in the station. Amusement parks don't give passes unless you are on a loaded mechanical breakdown. Basically what they're saying is: you picked to go on that day, so you shoulda checked the weather for any sudden wind gusts

  • @cps6290 There was another train right behind it with people on it. They never got off the ride.

  • i got stuck on Goliath before it was climbing up real slow and i said climb up faster it started and i got scared cause it sped up and it stopped . just stopped. and this guy was recording it too. but yeah luckily they fixed it in like a few minutes so that was good but yeah it was scary cause we were like a 3rd of the way up. but yeah i got stuck waiting in line for x2 when it broke down too. hopefully they won't get rid of though cause that goliath, tatsu, and superman are the best rides.

  • @tich302001 It's it's own corporate company. No one owns six flags. Six Flags owns Six Flags :)
