Its a classic wild, vicious pig terrorizing the Australian outback story. There is no denying that Razorback's basic plot is well, a bit silly. This is to the Outback as like as a giant shark terrorising swimmers ("Jaws") or a wet Japanese woman climbing out of a television set ("The Ring"). My point is that even the most ludicrous storyline can be overcome by excellent film-making. Razorback is a great film as the Cinematographer of the year award to Dean Semler attests. AND 6 AFI nominations for sound, music and editing. It must have been Directors Russell Mulcahy's (Did Duran Duran's Hungry Life the Wolf) inspiration.
