pia mai was a rela martial art master in the 1600 hundreds in chine during the ming dynasty he was one of the 300 great grand master who wanted a change in china so he sided with the manchurians after the on slaught of the 300 grand masters

@MrChow9 Most of Tarantino's films are in some way a pastiche/homage to other films. Just like Inglorious basterds was a war movie about other war movies, so the character Pai Mei, and much of Kill Bill, is his nod to old kung fu films and their characters, in fact, Pai Mei is lifted entirely from old Hong Kong films like Executioners from Shaolin. It's hardly supposed to be life-like or an accurate portrayal of any racial group; it's cinema about cinema.

any1 knows some good old school kung fu movie with pai mai ?;p i saw few but long time ago and btw // guys pai mai was always bad buy but do y renember old movie wirg jet li and pai mai ?? is was fantasy action old kung fu movie and pai mai was good 1 there its with bat king and others crazy guys :D

@McGruff5150 your right jocks0113 ,but i would like to see one made with same actor Gordon Liu playing Pai Mai,n directed by Quentin Tarantino again,there was just something about way he was depicted in kill bill 2,the style,everything about it ,except!! killing him off like that (in my view)was brilliant correct,,Pai Mai is the Bad guy,but a bad guy everybody wants to see win!I Growing up ,i watched his movies,i always wanted him to win,rather then the hero in the movie :P,my no1 anti-hero!

actually i liked pai mei a lot
he is so cool and powerful gotta love the crazy eyebrows plus he wasnt that much of a jerk considering that he taught beatrix his killing move the five palm something...
