@mrvolcom71 It's a radical tonsillectomy for cancer; the excess tissue is to ensure you get a good margin of normal tissue around the tumor

There seemed to be lots of excessive tissue cutting in this video compared to other tonsillectomy videos. It also looked like the doctor accidentally burned some parts of the tissue with the cauterizing tool. How long was the recovery for this patient?
