Hello, everyone! This is the first part of my LP (or as I prefer to call it, "Let's Watch") of Mass Effect 2. I know there's a few of these already, but I'm going to try a few different things, such as:

- Female Shepard. FemShep is more awesome than manShep in tons of ways: the voice actress is better, it's possible to make a custom face that doesn't look hideous, etc. If femShep could romance Tali, there'd be no reason to ever play manShep. :P
- I'm trying to make these as high quality as possible. I'm uploading in full 720p and trying to compress/alter as little as possible. They actually look really good, and I'm proud to say that I have the best looking ME2 LP on YouTube (my 720p looks better than another series' 1080p! :P That doesn't mean the others aren't worth watching, though!)
- I'm not going to talk. The game is really story-driven and fully voice-acted, so I'd like to allow you to hear it, not me.
- That said I'll still give my thoughts, but it'll be through unobtrusive text at the top that you can ignore if you like.
- I'm skipping essentially ALL travel and all "junk time". I define the junk as uninteresting filler, like mining planets, buying stuff, attempting to talk to party members only to find out they have something new to say, etc. I'm not going to skip anything important, but you really don't need to watch every loading screen, every planet probing, every hacking, etc. There's going to be enough videos already!
- I'm going for, basically, 100%. That's not to say I wont miss some stuff, because I might, but I'm going to try and do every single side-quest possible, and I will try to pick every dialogue option I can in all conversations.

A few other points:
- I'm playing an imported level 60 character. I played the first ME through one and a half times before playing ME2, but I didn't have the save files, so I nabbed one from http://www.annakie.com/me/ (which should be switching over to http://www.masseffectsaves.com soon). Like the save I imported, I'll be playing mostly Renegade, but not always blindly picking only the Renegade choices every single time because some of them are stupid. :P
- I'll be playing on Insanity. I'm... Actually not all that amazing at the game, so I'm not trying to show off skill or anything, I just figured it would be more fun and interesting that way.
- I'll be playing as a Sentinel, and thanks to achievements unlocked from my other save file, I'm beginning the game with Reave as my bonus power.
- I'm playing the PC version of the game, purchased through Steam.
- I have... Almost all of the DLC that it's possible for me to have. I bought it through Steam, so obviously I don't have the Gamestop bonuses, but I got the Digital Deluxe edition, preordered the game, I own Dragon Age, and I have all three Dr. Pepper bonuses. With the exception of the Dr. Pepper goggles, you probably wont see me use any of the DLC equipment, though I'll be doing DLC missions and will get Zaeed.

I... Think that's it. If you have any more questions feel free to ask them in the comments. Otherwise, enjoy! :D

  • Heyy, i had a question about importing a character. If you end up as a level 37 soldier in ME1 and you then import that to ME2, but choose a different class, do you then have to start all freaking over? thanks

  • They changed the way the skill system works and changed the level cap, so unfortunately no matter what you level down. The highest you can start at is level 5, if you were level 37 then it'll probably start you at level 3 or so, regardless of what class you pick.

  • If you romanced Ashley in Mass Effect 1, do you then get an intro with Ashley as the one trying to get you out of the Normandy?

  • Well, it's not so much who you romanced as much as it is who survived. If you don't import a save then it just defaults to whichever is the opposite gender of your Shep.

  • Good job carl.

  • Thanks! :D

  • I can appreciate the lack of commentary, and I'm fine with femshep, but if your shepard continues as a hard-ass renegade bitch I can't keep watching. :(

  • these are fantastically put together

  • Your way of doing let's plays is clearly the best I've ever seen

  • Ma sta' zitto, babbano!

  • Damn did Shepard die cuz she the blast knocked loose the oxygen supplies or is it just the smallest oxygen reeserves ever?

  • @krich451 Well, u cant have romance scenes with same sex perons, and dialogue will be adapted to you being female/male (So ppl gonna go like either ''He'' or She'')

Oh and being FemShep can make u experience the viral quotes from Jacob ''Heavy risk, but thre priiizzee...''

  • does the game change at all if you play as a female?

  • @Samuraislash600 hes not talking most of the time theyre all cutscenes.

  • @UltimateCarl btw you wanna hear the story of how me and my wife saw the lochness monsta?

  • Dude speak up!!! I cant hear nothing!!!
