This is video that was recorded by a photography company in Columbus, Georgia while I was in US Army Basic Combat Training from August-Nov 1997. This company would record various bits of training and then rip of the Joes by charging them large quantities of hard-earned money for this bouncy, grainy video. Anyways....its good to have this record of what I was going through, though it is hardly all-encompassing. This video is of grenade training. Here, the trainers teach us proper grenade throwing technique in several positions. We are using practice grenades, which pop a few seconds after the pin is pulled and the spoon released. Good stuff...Hooah! More clips from my basic training to come.

  • When the video first starts right after they throw the grenade look at the dude in the second throwing section......he looks to his left and right and realizes hes supposed to duck....he gets down quick hahahahahaha

  • This brings back memories. Its really something when you throw your first real grenade. When they first put it in your hand everything seems to fade away. Then you think its cool then a second later your like I want this shit as far away from me as possible.

  • @poleeed training ones

  • i love how the second closest guy checks around to see if everyone else ducked down and was the last one standing haha

  • are those training grenades or real?

  • Aww not the blue ones with the hole in the bottom lol..

  • @Sigmafy

theyre smiling cause they have miniaturized murder in the palm of there hands

  • why are there so many smiling faces? twenty years ago, a drill sergeant would kick your ass for even a smirk

  • @DarkSoulGunner666 Do you mean you're ambidextrous and can use either hand to throw?

Or you throw with both hands for more force or distance, because that actually is more likely to severly DEcrease the amount of distance and force it would fly.

  • "Use your non-throwing side" Um, What if you use both hands to throw? (Like me?)

  • @Roxas2D hell yeAH!

  • @5hiThAppEnS2 keep it from going off accidentally going off
