Twin Engine Karts - Coast 2 Coast Karting - New Lap Record! November 27th 2011

Here we have myself and Tom (Kart 29) down at Coast 2 Coast Karting in Hayle Cornwall having a thrash around on the Twin Engined Biz Pro Karts. We are both employed as safety marshals at the track, and I had recently set the new lap record on the circuit (See my other videos 'Staff Do- Twin's race' I'm in Kart 27) of 40.197sec/s and despite it still being slightly damp on the track I was surprised to find that I had shaved 0.061sec/s off the record on my eighth lap... Unfortunately for me (and obvious to anyone paying close attention to the video!) Tom was on fire this afternoon (new tires prob helped... humph) and posted consecutive sub-forty second laps achieving a best time of 39.6ish-sec/s lap (Git) completely obliterating my previous record... dry track and perseverance required me thinks! The camera used is a Flip Nano HD and it is fastened to a tripod head which had been bolted to the chassis beside the seat- this has resulted in some pretty bad vibrations at speed... apologies.
