Demo Gran Turismo 2

IMO the true problem of the final release of GT2 is it was victim of its quality. There were 2 CDs to play, but also a worse display (full of glitches or lower texture quality), less pictures (I think that the cars pictures displayed in the "New car" part of the Simulation disc are rendered during the loading instead of being photos like the demo shows). Missing cars (ie the Polo or the GTR), missing mode (Drag), etc.
If they had time and memory enough, Polyphony Digital would do a better GT2.

Cool demo! I have the full version but never heard of a demo version of the game.

i miss that pictures of new cars in dealerships...its shame that they wasnt in the full game (perhaps memory problems ? or they didnt have photos of all cars ?)

@JackBandicootsBunker I agree : I'm especially remembering the in-game cars, displays, ads and shining glasses looking better than in the final GT4 release. I'm also remembering all the screen captures presented in (French) Playstation 2 Magazine... but I've had so much fun with Gran Turismo 2 (and also the first/third opus) that I would have a game more perfect than it was near to be. ;)

@eLIdzer It's no surprise to see all GT demos being actually better than the final game, with the only exception possibly being Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. For example, GT4 Prologue looked more impressive than the final release, specially graphically, with the most clear difference being the environment in the New York course.
