The fairly unassuming look of the Yamaha KX-25 USB Controller Keyboard belies a solid unit with a sophisticated built-in arpeggiator. Being that he'd demo a broom-handle if it had an arpeggiator on it, Bill was more than happy to tear into this dapper controller.

This first clip on the KX-25 features an in-depth look at the arpeggiator, as well as some of the controls that make this the perfect partner for Steinberg Cubase, which, hey guess what, it comes bundled with.

  • Please help. I am using one man band midi arranger software. Can you assign instrumentals example piano, bass to Track assign 1 and assign 2, mute, solo on the Yamaha KX. Thanks in advance for your help

  • since there is less bottons then other keyboards does that not allow you to be able to play some songs?

  • can anyone tell why when i hit the keys there's a delay after it's sound??

  • can I change octaves instantly,during session?

  • @Deejaykkk of course it does, just about everything works in fl studio lol

  • @wolfgangfaust Yes, it's a MIDI controller! As long as you have MIDI cable, you are good. If you have it set up by your computer, you can use that to power your KX.

  • can i use one of these to control my Novation Supernova rack without a computer?

  • would It work with Ableton and would the automapping work?

  • @TheMic609 yeah obviousl;y exeryone isnt looking for full chords but I agree.. The 61 key version is awesome though
