Peavey 6505+ and Gibson Les Paul

Just got a new Peavey 6505+ and am running it through the paces. As usual with my videos, I just hit record and go for it. Some of the riffs are made up on the spot, some are wrong, and some of the licks have flubs here and there. I'm not making an album, so no use it getting everything perfect.

I start out on the clean channel with the crunch and bright switches engaged to get a more classic rock tone. Then I switch to the distortion channel. Towards the end, I go back and forth a few times. Too bad my camera doesn't do a good job of getting the tone.

This is the type of stuff I normally play when trying out an amp. I'm not making videos to show off extreme shred skills on YouTube, so if you're looking for that, move along.

This is a new Peavey 6505+ with the stock tubes running through a Marshall 1960BV cab (Marshall "Vintage" speakers). I'm using my R8 Les Paul with Fralin pickups.

I think you just sold another 6505. I've been looking at demos, and as everyone mentions, they are all in drop tunings with chugga chugga riffs. Nothing against those, but I want something classic hard rock sounding. From Thin Lizzy to KISS to Aerosmith, even Foo Fighters. I know most people buy this amp for the blistering lead channel, but I think your "clean" channel on this video sounds AMAZING! Thanks for this demo!
