Critics complain that a public plan has an inherent advantage over private plans because the public plan won't have to show profits. But plenty of private plans are already not-for-profit. And if nonprofit plans can offer high-quality healthcare more cheaply than for-profit plans, why should for-profit plans be coddled? The public plan would merely force profit-making private plans to take whatever steps were necessary to become more competitive., that's a plus.

While the Republicans have no clear answer on how to give ALL the Americans the health care that they deserve, they are just creating road blocks with the help of insurance companies that spend nearly $100M the last time around to stop our nation from having a health care that we all deserve.

They are not helping to build one, modify it, and debug it along the way -- because IT IS A PROCESS -- they just get paid to say "just say no".

Oh gee, another tiny-brained disgruntled Repub with a flaccid axe to grind.

Go shout down a Congressman at a town hall meeting. That'll make you feel all better, pookie.
