The Ultimate Edition (2001) of The Keep soundtrack

The memorable scene. That's how my interest in TD music sparked off...

  • I've been looking for these selections for years, thanks for sharing. An uncredible and often overlooked soundtrack, this is Tangerine Dreams masterpiece.

  • Love the music from the movie. Really well done. Does anyone know the name of the music played when Ian McKellen was carrying the artifact down the hallway of crosses?

  • Awesome beat.

  • @Allannon500 Hmmmm Was it Colours by Sisters of Mercy?

  • tangerine dream really gets you thinking. They have such a wide selection of various masterpieces. Unbelievable, really... Only if more movies had tangerine dream soundtracks.

  • @sv1000rider Thanks I'll look for it.

  • @Allannon500, the song is "Talisman"

  • I have failed miserably somewhere along my 43 year path of music and film. Not only did I see this movie for the very first time, and a fan of the genre, but being a musician, and usually paying attention more times to the musical score and soundtrack, I never saw this movie until last night! Wild!.Tangerine Dream:.Giorgio Moroder (Midnight Express), meets Vangelis (Chariots of Fire, Blade Runner) meets Harold Faltermeyer (Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun). Reboot the movie with Tangerine Dream!

  • Never touch the crosses, NEVER! and why not? ....you must not stay here. The interaction between the caretaker and the german officer was one of my favourite scenes. Its too bad he only had the 1 scene in the movie. such tension and eeriness built with just words and the tone of his bellowing, tired voice.

  • @atroller2002 Ok I'll check there thanks.

  • @Allannon500 Some of the music from the keep can be heard (in pristine quality) on Logos Live (1982). The rest is available only on bootleg.

  • @Allannon500 Yeah that's another bit of good music too, anyone out there know it?
