  • There's nothing else like ALCo's smoking it up! Great video!

  • @PRRE8 you bet! thanks!

  • Wow, Morton...that was right near my school growing up in Philly; I used to pass by Morton, Primos, and Secane a lot (I was in Springfield, my grandparents and aunt were in Aldan). My jaw would have hit the ground hard if I ever saw something like this go by.

Wasn't there some kind of lumber yard near Media? I have a vague memory of seeing a coach yard there once or twice while riding with my dad on errands as a kid; lots of MP54s and Silverliners standing around.

  • thanks, yeah there is Tague Lumber right next to the station by the Media yard which is actually stated for removal once the expansion to wawa happen and they move the yard to Lenni

  • That must have been it. I remember my dad always took me when he was going there, and we always took time to linger and get a good look at the MUs sitting in the yard.

  • that's pretty cool!

  • The lead engine is a MLW DRS-18 & the other is a MLW C-424.

  • Alco's are known to smoke like that. I guess you could say it's an Alco characteristic.

  • Long-hood forward, the ONLY way to lead!!! Very nice!

  • @inteansitman. Yeah I started volunteer for the railroad when I got a free cab ride and I was talking to the guy and he was talking about all the heaters in there. So I asked him "why so many" it was built in Canada by alco and I think it was a dc-24 or something like that. But it was a really cool experience.

  • You're welcome!
